There is an etiquette to a space like this and there are some rules.
Rule #1: Make up the rules as you go.
Rule #2: All display of signage and/or merchandise has to be approved by the space manager. No way around that. Inside the offices you can do WHATEVER you want, but in the spaces outside where there can be a representation of "the whole", it has to have some cohesion. So there will be a creative director for the space.
Rule #3: The creative director for the space cannot be referred to, even by self, as a "benevolent dictator", as it may cause massive emotional turmoil.
Rule #4: No late night drunk appearances to show off the space to friends or potential mates.
Rule #5: Stand by for additional rules.
Rule #6: Don't get a million favors, use them all up, flake on rent, get wasted and talk trash.
Etiquette
The mood of the space is fairly free-wheeling. The only requirements besides the obvious human respects like flushing, personal trash hauling, and limited boisterous flatulance is ... common promotion.
The objective here is a synergisitic business existance. All the tenants in our little showroom are encouraged vigorously to know, encourage, cross promote and network their and their officemates businesses. That is the "magic" here. Nine endeavors reaching out to the world at large in nine ways, nine times, and briefly sharing the additional creative options the space provides. It's built in networking and a powerful way to cross pollinate your marketing efforts.
We would like to build this space into a thriving organism of commerce and creation. If any one of the spaces doesn't participate or excludes itself from the organism, it slows down the entire body. That's frownable behaviour and discouraged.
Industry Showroom is here to bridge that gap.
It's the smart way to build your brand.
